Total Industries is a family-owned dealership specializing in Dock-to-Dock Material Handling Solutions, with locations in Livermore, Fresno, West Sacramento, and Salinas, CA. The company, as it exists today, was founded in 1997 by Rich Andres, a war veteran and former Marine, who acquired the Perin Company and renamed it Total Industries. Today, the business is proudly led by his two sons, Mark and Stephen.

Tina Suteja has been with Total Industries for as long as they’ve operated under this name. As the dealership’s Database Administrator, she has a deep understanding of its operations and internal systems. So when the company made the decision to upgrade to DIS QuipWare for dealership management, Tina was involved every step of the way.
We spoke with Tina to learn how DIS helps Total Industries deliver an exceptional customer experience.
For how long has Total Industries been using DIS?
We’ve been using DIS for probably about thirty years. We used DIS Solutions first, and we just switched to QuipWare a couple of months ago.
Which QuipWare features do you find most helpful in your daily operations?
I would say Service 360, because that helps our technicians complete their tasks in a timely manner. In the back office, we can close the work orders faster.
I would say DIS would solve a lot of your day-to-day problems—Service 360, and Altura with different products. They also have MyPortal, which is kind of an all-around solution for a dealership. And they’re always adding APIs, so it will work with other solutions.
How has your experience been with DIS’ Support?
Very good. They always help us. In a quick time, they will respond back to us.
