DIS has been in business for almost 40 years now. And you know what? We’re planning to stick around for another 40 years from today – and beyond.
The reason for that is simple: our product line has a strong foundation. QuipWare, Solutions and Minitrac are still all incredibly useful when it comes to managing a dealership. In fact, we’re confident that each of your departments – whether it’s Accounting or Sales – still benefits from our platforms, one way or another.
So, what do you do when you have a strong foundation? You build on top of it, rapidly – and that’s what we intend to do.
Building Up
Though its foundation is solid, your current DIS system isn’t complete – and it never will be. Not because we won’t grow it, but because the industry trends will continue to evolve, and we will continue to keep up with them, leading to more useful additions to your system.
That’s why we’ve started developing cutting-edge mobile and web-based apps for several of your departments. Mobility is where all businesses are heading, and it’s inevitable that you’ll be heading there as well, hopefully using the technology we provide.
Here’s what we’re working on:
- Service Logistics – A mobile app that improves field technician productivity by allowing them to access and update work orders, customer details, parts inventory and other vital information on the go.
- SLOR – A tracking tool for your back office.
- Sales Logistics – A mobile app that allows you to view, track and manage real-time information on every unit in your dealership, no matter where you are
- MyPortal – A browser-based interface that lets your customers make online payments and keep track of their transactions with your dealership.
- API – A set of tools that streamlines third-party integrations with various platforms.
What you see listed here is just a start, of course – we have so much more planned for the future, it would take too much space to list it all in a single article.
How Can We Work So Fast?
To speed up new developments, we’ve created something called Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or as we refer to it, the “DIS Middle Tier”– an architecture design pattern that will allow us to integrate with anything at any condition. In other words, we’ll be able to create all our products in the same environment, ensuring they all speak “the same language.”
This in turn will save our development team a lot of time. More time leads to more stuff. It’s that simple.
