The DIS Interface Manager application provides EPC – Electronic Parts Catalog and ECC – Electronic Commerce Client interfaces for a variety of manufacturers. Most dealerships use at least some part of Interface Manager. Although the interface manager is fairly easy to use, help is just a few clicks away if you have questions.
The Interface Manager Online Documentation is a complete “how-to guide” for all aspects of Interface Manager. Interface Manager Online Documentation can be accessed by clicking on the Interface Manager icon (blue D in the system tray), clicking on the “help” tab, and then clicking on the “on-line documentation” option.
The Interface Manager Online Documentation is a menu driven, easy to use site that breaks down all aspects of Interface Manager – how to use Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) at POS, how to configure and use Electronic Commerce Client (ECC), as well as, information on configuring and using Shiplink and barcoding.
From the menu on the left side of the screen, click on the Electronic Commerce Client option to display all manufacturers, then select the specific manufacturer for help on how to configure and use.
From the menu on the left side of the screen, click on the Electronic Parts Catalogs option to display all EPC manufacturers, then select the interface you want to see and drill down for specific information.
From the Interface Manager help tab, there is also a quick link to the LogMeIn Rescue support connection. You don’t need to type www.logmenin123.com in your browser, just click on the LogMeIn rescue option and you’re ready to go.
Remember, you can download the most current version of the Interface Manager software from the DIS website. (Login required! Once logged in, go to Support > Updates > Interface Manager. The first option will have the latest version.) There is also a helpful video on “upgrading Interface Manager” that demonstrates how to upgrade your Interface Manager software.
So the next time you have a question related to one of your ECC or EPC interfaces, take a quick look at the online documentation, you might find the answer to your question is just a few mouse clicks away.
